PERSONALITY

Kiara shares many of the traits of her mother, but most resembles her paternal grandmother, Sarabi. She is compassionate in the way she handles royal affairs, as was demonstrated by the way she accepted the Outsiders into her pride and in the way she tried to save Zira after Zira tried to kill her and her father. She is independent and stubborn, and will go out of her way to prove a point. She thinks outside of the box, she's creative. Kiara has a big heart, and loves deeply, and mostly just wants to make everything right. She didn't want to be a leader, but she doesn't take her roll lightly.

HISTORY

Kiara was born to royal parents, Simba and Nala. Her grandparents were the great Mufasa and Sarabi. Kiara was an outgoing, stubborn cub, full of adventure and wanting nothing more than to explore and have fun. She met Kovu when they were cubs, whilst exploring beyond the Pridelands. After nearly being eaten by alligators, her dad and Kovu's mom showed up and they were separated. Kiara didn't see Kovu again until she was an adolescent, on her first hunt. A fire broke out in the Pridelands and Kovu came to her "rescue". It was revealed later that this was a plot, but Kiara's feelings had grown for Kovu nonetheless. When she trusted that he wanted to be good and be a part of the Pride, they worked together to stop a war between the two prides, and she convinced Simba to allow the Outsiders to join their pride.

After she and Kovu became queen and king, Kiara and Vitani, her sister in law, began having some conflict. Kiara tried to remember that Vitani had been through a lot, and that she was probably having trouble adjusting, but she was still hurt by Vitani's verbal attacks. One day, Vitani shouted at her how she didn't deserve to be a mom, and she shouldn't be having cubs. Kiara was shocked by the cruelty and by the anger behind her words, and left Vitani standing on Pride Rock. Later, she went to find her to have a heart to heart talk, but Kovu told her that Vitani went back to the Outlands. She tried to go and find her, but Kovu told her he wouldn't allow it, and to think of the cubs. Kiara is trying to do that, but is also worried about Vitani.
