- Creating a Character
I. Do not make separate accounts for each character.
II. Your first character must be a lion. However, after that you may create meerkats, hyenas, warthogs, cheetahs, etc.
III. The site is primarily centered around the lions, so while other character species are allowed, the majority of characters should be lions.
IV. You may make lions as either Outsiders or Pridelanders. If you'd like to play an available canon, reply to that thread before making your application.
V. Have as many characters as you can handle. In other words, you can have however many you'd like, but keep them all active.
VI. Do not post in character until your character has been accepted.
Canons:
As of 7/24/15- new rule; you must create an original character first before claiming a canon (meaning canons cannot be your first/only character), and canons require a roleplay sample. Please include these in your application, either at the bottom of your app, or in a reply.
- The Circle of Life
Lion cubs are considered cubs from birth until the age of one year. Adolescents range from one to three years. Young adults are three to five years. Adults are five years to ten, and then they are considered elders for the remainder of their lives, 10-15 years of age, though most will not reach fifteen. The cubs are weaned around six months. Lionesses are pregnant for about three and a half months.
Pay attention to the season changes (Announcements Board) to keep track of how old your characters are.
Births and deaths are allowed in-game. For either of these, you must post in the board title "The Circle Of Life". Follow the available forms there to log a death or birth. With that in mind, keep all threads PG13, as per the TOS of Proboards.
- Gameplay
The word count minimum for Kings & Vagabonds is 200 words.
There is no rule about person, meaning you can post in first or third person - whichever you prefer.
Keep Pridelanders in the Pridelands and Outsiders in the Outlands, unless they are on neutral ground. Any Outsiders that cross into the Pridelands will be dealt with in-game by Kiara/Kovu if caught, and vice versa with Vitani.
Non-lions may venture wherever they please, but remember that they are loyal to one side and may not be accepted elsewhere.
Pride changes, fights, number of offspring, and special features (such as white lions, or special eye colors) are all subject to admin approval.
Winning a fight can be determined by the members if previously decided. Do not decide to discuss who wins in the middle or end of a fight. If it progresses without a decision, an admin can be consulted to review the thread and decide on a winner.
