PERSONALITY

Duma would be described as kind, honest, and forgiving. She is young, and often considered naive, as Duma is very trusting, and this can often get her into trouble. She trusts those who are kind to her, and will believe most almost anything if it is told with any hint of conviction, and when she is hurt or lied to, Duma is quick to forgive, or offer an excuse for one's behavior. She's dependable, loyal, and Duma is also very adventurous at times. She enjoys seeking new places to play, and has no desire to grow up. She's wonderful with cubs, and the young of just about any species.

Duma understands the conflict between the Pridelands and the Outlands, and even the conflict between hyenas and lions, but she doesn't agree with it. Though she is rarely outspoken, Duma is opinionated and, given the chance, will debate these situations in her beloved land. Though Duma is often considered naive because of her unyielding trust, Duma is very smart.

HISTORY

Duma was born in the Pridelands under Simba's reign, and still remembers those days, if only vaguely. Her family respected Simba as a leader, but during the shift into Kiara's reign, they were quickly made loyal to the new queen. Duma's father didn't trust Kovu for some time, and though he respects his new king, he is still wary to trust him now. Duma, however, isn't waiting for the other shoe to drop, and loves her king and queen.

Duma's life was, for the most part, uneventful. Until she turned one, at least. Some time after her first birthday, her mom became sick. At first, it seemed as though she would pull through, but after she got better, she got worse. Shaking her family up, Duma's mom passed away. Since the passing of her beloved mom, Duma and her father have grown closer, however. They remain loyal to the Pridelands, and to each other, and Duma has tried to move on and keep a good attitude.
